Hello! We are excited to let everyone know that our farm stand will be open on
Saturday, December 22nd from 1 to 4pm.
Come join us inside our cozy farm stand!
We'll offer carrots, red beets, chioggia beets, golden beets, purple top turnips,
leeks, parsnip, mixed potatoes, brussel sprouts, beauty heart radishes,
green cabbage, red cabbage, maple syrup, eggs, popcorn, honey,
pork cuts and finally lavendar and rosemary goat milk soap!
Most of these would make great gifts and your way of
shopping local and giving a product that is grown locally right
here in Old Mill Creek!
Farm News.............
I was able to take a ride in the combine as we harvested our organic feed corn that will feed our laying hens for the winter.
Look at that delicious corn harvested for our livestock.
This is a great step in being able to feed our livestock from
grain that we grew instead of buying it in.
If you drive down Millburn Road you may have noticed new trees being planted on the South side of the street. These are Sugar Maple Trees that will not only add beautification on Millburn Road but will one day be tapped for maple syrup!
We fenced them all to keep them safe from the abundant deer.
30 trees were planted this year
and we plan to do more next year!
Rosemary and Lavendar goat milk soap will be for sale on Saturday December 22nd.
Our three milking goats were hand milked all season twice a day. Some of the milk
was enjoyed by practicing our cheese making abilities and the rest was saved for soap making.
The rosemary that was used was grown by us and the lavendar was grown by a friend in Michigan.
All the ingredients used for these two varieties are organic and sustainably grown.
Enjoy!
See you all on Saturday December 22nd from 1 to 4pm
