Welcome to the final week of your Fall CSA!

These final days of harvest and any field work that still remains will soon end another year for us at Tempel Farms Organics. As we look forward to our 5th growing year here we would like to thank all of you who were able to join our CSA this season and those of you who have been able to stop by our farm market stand. We went through quite a season of warmth and the constant moving of irrigation pipes so that we could make it through the drought that came our way. We saw an abundance of great quality produce harvested from our fields and then some unfortunate crops that we lost due to the weather such as purple carrots and celery root that we all looked forward for. It's known to farmers, as perhaps an inspiration, that no two years are the same. If Chris and I could do it all over again next year as we did this season we would do it in a heartbeat especially with having the people that formed our crew. Thank you to (pictured from left) Keegan, Michelle, Joe and Duncan, our main crew here for our 2012 season.
Joe, Chris and I will have a busy winter finalizing paper work for this season, ordering seeds for next year, setting goals for future growing plans, maintaining our chickens and goats, attending farming events, visiting other farms and farmers, and most exciting.......
looking forward to the delivery of Joe and his wife's baby!
