- Acorn Squash (lots of recipes)
- Romanesco (Gratin or with garlic or Alla Diavola)
- Arugula
- Lettuce Heads
- Carola Potatoes (Yellow skin and flesh just like a Yukon Gold)
- Sage bunch
- Cippolini Onions (with steak and sage butter)
- Hakurei Salad Turnips (On-farm only. Off-farm will be getting these next week)
Your Fruit Harvest for this Week...
- Neptune Grapes
- Golden Smoothee Apples
- Seckel Pears
- Red Courtland or Empire Apples
This is the time of year the hawks really start to focus in on our laying hens in their pasture.
It's just like clockwork. All of a sudden predators from the sky like this Red Tail Hawk start showing up and sticking around in hopes of a meal. They don't get very many though since our hens have lots of cover.
We are approaching the end of our flower season.
Come and pick up one of the beautiful bouquets for sale
at the farm stand this Thursday and Saturday!
Our Dahlias like this one survived the Japanese Beetle attacks this season
because the flower crew wrapped each one.
